The new therapy room of our
Agriturismo is near a quiet meadow, beautifully arranged in
accordance with green architecture, with warm pastel colors,
Feng Shui boards and wooden floors. There is also a micro hi-fi
system for CDs, MP3 players, USB keys and iPod.
This room is at our guest's disposal for ancient techniques like
meditation, hot stone massages, ayurveda massages with or
without Tibetan singing bowls or massages with singing bowls
only.
It can be rented for group therapies or week-end meetings. We
gladly provide more information to interested therapists or make
individual arrangements.
This therapy room is an harmonious addition to our holiday and
week-end meetings offer. Living according to nature and the
well-being that one experiences when lost energies are restored
helps us manage everyday life with more composure. Our guests
have the possibility to discover unknown aspects in them by
following nature's rhythms and can take these discoveries as an
enriching holiday experience home.
Sounds of the
Spirit, Sacred and Profane
“The long chimes of Tibetan bowls in the valley wake the
carpenters of the country every morning.” Franco Battiato,
Campane Tibetane
“Body, word and mind in perfect unity: they accompany the
ringing of this bell with the beating of my heart. He who
listens to it can wake up from oblivion and transcend anxiety
and pain.” Thich Nhat Hanh
What better saying by the Vietnamese zen monk Thich Nhat Hanh,
the second most important figure in global Buddhism after the
Dalai Lama, to introduce you to the ethereal world of my friend
Christiane Liebl. I have already spoken of her light hands and
wonderful ayurvedic massage (Valley Life n. 55, July 2009).
Today at her agriturismo, Ca’ de Carlicchi, in San Leo Bastia,
there are two new highlights: a relaxing room for group therapy
has been opened, as well as an intimate, state-of-the-art
recording studio, the work of partner and musician Cesare
Galloni.
“The Tibetan bowls are ancient instruments used for rituals by
Buddhist monks since antiquity. In the silent spaces of Tibetan
monasteries they are an invitation to meditation, with the
purpose of tuning the celestial spheres to the earthly dimension.”
(Mauro Pedone, instructor of Shiatsu, yoga and Tibetan bowls)
“We humans are like such musical instruments: to feel well,
healthy and in harmony, we need to be well-tuned, seeking our
unique, essential sound…in order to resonate in tune with the
universe.” Our friend Christiane explains how the practice of
sound massage can have significant benefits in terms of
relaxation, balance, wellness and concentration, in addition to
being simply marvellous. The pure sound of the bells is also
useful to cleanse the atmosphere of negative emotional energies.
“The addition of Tibetan bells to ayurvedic massage helps
release the parts of the body that have stiffened, tightened or
become blocked and allows for psycho-physical relaxation. In the
practice of counselling, however, it helps to unblock emotional
impasses of not being able to feel or communicate, being in a
sort of temporary vacuum… The bells allow whatever is there to
emerge and remove anything no longer of use.”
